I feel like a truck ran over me today from the fall but other than that it's been a great Christmas. I hope everyone had a good one and will have a happy new year filled with much colder weather ! 75F on Christmas day was not desirable at all and all this rain is lame
OMG, when I first read this and you said you fell so hard you broke it, I thought you meant your back! After reading on, I realized you meant the step. I am glad you didn't get hurt too bad.

Yea, the temps were not normal Christmas temps here either but not as warm as you had. Overnight, we had a low temp of 29℉ so when I got up it was a little cool in the house because I had the stove still set for the temps during the day. Didn't take long to reload Andrew and get it warmed up.

I hope everyone is resting up well today after the busy day yesterday.

I can see how you would read it that way. I should have chose my words better. To be honest , in that split second of falling and hitting, I thought I had broke my back. I couldn't get up for a few minutes but I was able to get my cell phone out and call in the house for my folks to come help me (cell phones can be a curse but they can be a blessing as well) . Next weekend will be a new years project to fix their front porch for them.

You know for being the day after Christmas traffic wasn't too bad today. I drove all around town with the family.
