Ok,

New stoker stove. Small stand-alone leisure line Sidewinder. I purchased it in summer and finally put it together. I know the first burn will be smokey so I was going to bring it outside. I'm going to be using a Coal-trol (not sure how to use it, reading the directions now).

Questions:

#1 Can I bring it outside and burn without any chimney??

#2 Is this easy to light up and burn or do I need to understand the Coal-trol a little better before firing?

BTW, I will be using a SWG powervent when I bring it back inside. Right now I just want to burn it in but not sure how this stoker will actually work..

You would need some stove pipe to lite it up outside...min. 6'.

But windows open and window fans can control most burn off indoors.

Did you install the indoor stove pipe with the WMO-1 Safety Shut Off?
And installed the Carbon Monoxide Detector?

Haven't gotten the pipe set up yet. Carbon Monoxide Detectors already installed.

I'll have to do a little more reading on this and get the stove pipe set up.

I've got a lot more work I wasn't aware of.

You keeping the Hitzer where it is?

Where's the Sidewinder going at?

I found the video to set up the power vent. It's going to be a few days to get this ready so I'll just wait before firing.

I have a large bedroom at the other end of the house. It won't be used as often as the Hitzer but on really cold nights if I have a guest they'll appreciate it. I may also use it Fall and Spring where the Hitzer is a little too much. :)

Skoby,

Make sure you get a manometer to properly set up the SWG Power Vent.
