With 8 years into actively farming our ole farm here,this is what our fledgling Hobby Farm look like by the numbers? It might be pathetic, but I thought some of you might be interested

We sold 36 lambs
Produced 856 pounds of wool
Produced 2284 eggs
Consumed 1682 pounds of grain (chicken/ducks/sheep)
Consumed 36,000 pounds of feed (pasture and winter feed)
Required 720 hours of labor from Katie and I
Labor was $9005 at $12.50 per hour (based on State of Maine DOT wages)
Required 58 gallons of diesel fuel for the tractor
Required 2372 KW's of electricity

For our household of 2 adults and 4 children ages (2-10) here are some fiscal surprises:

Spent $6073 on cars
Spent $2995 on supplies alone (toilet paper, pens, etc)
Spent a whopping $9122 on food! Down from last year though!
Spent $1065 on clothing (includes diapers for the 2 year old)
Spent $703 spent at McDonald's alone
Spent $1400 in energy (propane/electricity mostly due to appliances)
Spent $1282 in fast food ($703 at McDonald's INCLUDED though)
Spent $833 spent on dates with my wife Katie (PRICELESS!!)
Spent $663 in medicines (Cold/daily med requirements, etc)
Spent $820 in recreation costs (Monster jam/winter tubing/parks)
