sweet deal in Conn.

I don't have the room, but this Crawford looks exceptional... what baffles me is zero mention of the very famous Beckwith round oak he's throwing in the deal.... (fact is... because the Beckwith has a very rare Doe-Wah-Jack Finial its worth more than the Crawford! if its in similar condition).... in other words... either of these stoves should sell for an easy $1k if the condition is what it appears... the other is yours free!

IMO $1400 is far too high.

A 20 is not a large stove by any means.

Unless it has provenance from a stove shop or its "build" has been documented here, you have no idea if it's even safe to fire.

I should have said its 2 stoves for $1400, the Crawford #2 is an exceptional base burner with a 15 inch suspended firepot design which happens to be the most desirable size/btu output for most homes today... (granted it must be looked at in real life, but it does appear to be in exceptional condition)... if was in a stove shop re-built this stove would be sold for approx. $2k!

I see no reason why someone wanting one of these beauties would not offer the guy $1k for them (if they check out OK in real life this is a great deal!), either of these stove complete are VERY hard to find period at any price point!

He won't take a $1000 for them, don't waste your time unless you feel they are worth $1400.

PLEASE NOTE: $1400.00 is the sale price. I cannot go lower as I am selling for someone who gave me their lowest price. Buy it now for $1400.00. A great price for this stove. Call around. You won't find anyone close for this price.

A Crawford 2/20 is smaller than a Glenwood 111 it does not have a 15 inch pot.

If it's a forum member stove they should post detailed high resolution pictures of the grates, bricks, ashpan, nickle condition etc. Also it obviously needs a proper back pipe fabricated.

I'd say $500 max.

He'll be sitting on them for a while

I don't think it's a forum member. He mentions the 'ash hopper' that is in it.

FF, I am not immune to those moments when my skull is too thick to comprehend a simple statement. It just seems as tho there are times that ones brain gets stuck in a thought pattern & can't see the light while looking right at it.
