My $.02-I've been using bulk Blaschak for >23 years, I've never had ANY problem. 3 ton per year from a guy in Frackville. No scrap, no wood. Just great coal.

I took the suggestion of spraying it with mineral oil from Tractor Supply. I mix a third-quart of oil to a couple oz. of Simple Green and the rest water. I shake the spray bottle and spray. Zero black dust. Mom's a happy camper now too.

The reading didn't seem too dusty just had some junk in it and didn't seem to last as long. The last bag of stove I used I dug out I kid you not a soft ball size rock of course after I tried burning all the goodness out of it! Lol... the miners choice that I got from TC sat seems to be burning good a close 2nd to the blaschak maybe even the same. No clinkers yet, fine, grey ash, and still lots of blues in the am when I get up.
Maybe I just got a bunch of bags of reading that were just crappy..

I just picked up a ton of reading nut for $320. I have been burning Kimmel nut for the last 6 years with no problems. The farmers union wants $440 for 2500 lbs, so I went looking elsewhere. Tractor supply advertised $280 for a ton of kimmels, but when you get to the store you find out its tractor supply brand. I bought it ONCE. ...very messy low quality. I asked them what company they buy it from but no one knows. I find often stores advertise kimmels and then pull the old bait and switch on you. This is how I ended up with the Reading coal as well.......wish me luck.

I was just told by a local supplier here in Ohio and a former Reading dealer that the private label TSC stuff is Reading this year???? No way for me to prove it but no reason for the guy to make it up I don't think so...
