I got about 14 and a half to 15 hours out of mine no barometric damper two days in a row I actually thought the stove was out because I usually come in in the morning and ots out no temperature, I opened the door and it was a glow just like you had. I was very surprised to find a red glow I did the Hokey Pokey and let the primary air open an up she went.

Nice! I lost mine today after 13 hrs, had to be away a bit too long and burning pretty good. Probably just missed saving it. No problem I plan to have several relights this year.

Those are my radiating fins to extract heat from the pipe. They are doing something because the ones near the MPD get up to about 250. I have a bunch more so I should add them down the whole length of the pipe.

I put 7 fins on now. The stove is at 520, and I am down to 82 at the end of the pipe where it bends.

Are the fins home made or manufactured?

Don't know as they came with a stove years ago, but they would appear to be easy to make with snips and thin stock. Last burn: 12 hours, 402 on stove and 77 on pipe, MPD fully closed, primary air open the tiniest sliver.

Those are quite a bit different (not saying better or worse), they are looped and sized to the pipe. Mine have many more accordion folds and will fit any size pipe as they fasten by overlapping and squeezing the folds. I think they are good for an installation like mine that has a short pipe.
