I guess varies from bag to bag but burning also Blaschak and "Miner's Choice" recently, these nuts are most definitely bigger.

I know that's coal in the picture but what's that round silver thing. Haven't seen one of those for a while. :P

I got 5 ton bulk blaschak nut & stove and have been for the last 7 years and this year the nut is the worst I have seen, you could almost call it pea  . I complained about this same thing 2 or 3 years ago. Their nut is much smaller than what most other companies are offering as nut. Reading for me next year :shh: .

My Kimmels looks like that...every bag. It's the most consistent in size of any bagged coal I've tried. It burns long and hot, too. But Tractor Supply near me switched to Miners Choice, which looks like the Reading I buy at Eastern Ice.

The nut that I got from Kimmel is more like a mix of nut and stove.

I burned through a ton of Kimmels 'nut from TSC this yr and it was very consistent in size, I think 2 or 3 bags out of 50 had fines in it.

I am very happy with Kimmels, but alas when these last few bags are gone I probably won't see it around here cheap as now TS carries the MC.

You might want to set aside a dozen bags as 'save my lazy butt' coal if you could not tend in time and needs a rescue as it sure seems to take little to light and burns hot and fast if like what I got last year from TSC.

Me, too. The stuff I'm buring this year is mostly stove. Fortunately, the Marks Brothers doesn't have a problem with. For the price I'd go with it again. Lisa
