I'm considering running year round for dhw and to avoid boiler corrosion. My dhw is a hot water tank on its own zone valve. Can anyone give me a guess on coal usage, and tending schedule in the off heating season?

It's a kb-8 running buckwheAt. Just two of living here now, but a very busy kitchen.

Thank you

On first guess I would figure on roughly 2 lbs. of coal per person per day for DHW, and an additional 14-15 lbs. of coal per day just to keep the fire going. Roughly 18-19 lbs. per day overall.
