Looks better already even without a fire . Keep the pics coming we love pic on this forum.
If you do the install correctly the Harman will blow the Jotul away! but you are dealing with two totally different fuels also. If I remember right you do have a full length SS liner right?

Yes full length liner. This summer I will be pulling it out and having the chimney guy put me in a clay lined one. Thanks for dpinning them. Only thing I don't lije is how that flu adapter just sits on the back of the stove. No bolts or any thing

Would have been so nice if everything would have been kept together. Now there are 3 threads running about the same stove and install.

So I have been burning a few days I got a load of bit coal free so I have been messing with that. My jotul was meant for wood and could not heat my house like this Harman can with wood let alone the coal I used. I understand the air wash on the glass but when I turn the knob on ash doir all the way in. The fire will still burn farely well is this due to the airwash holes feeding it air? I actually cant use the blowers for real long because my house gets too hot. Lol

Glad to hear your up and running , but your burning bituminous coal? If you are how's that going? that insert is made for anthracite not bit and without over fire air controls I would think that It would be kinda difficult to do.

Just be careful. Some bituminous coals will burn very well with just 'over the fire' air. You could run into a situation where the coal takes off on you and you can't slow it down. Be sure to keep a bucket of ashes close by to cover it with, just in case

I am really suprised the amount of air that the airwash sucks in. Its not cold here so im burning wood with damper knob closed all the way on ash door and the stove is burning at 350 degrees

That's why I asked about the bit(wood would be almost the same) that's a easy thing to fix on your stove. When I was looking at inserts the Hitzer had a 2- door option that has spinner knobs for over fire air but I didn't get it. Maybe I would burn wood(spring and fall) if I had that option.
