Broken shaker drum

Broken shaker drum

Well I somehow broke the shaker drum. The shank that the handle attaches to snapped off......anyone have any ideas?

ohhhh god... now that a rare injury! obviously your going be using the scratch method of shaking till we can replace that "stop shaft" (that's what the part is called). The problem is that not a part any of the knock off firms like woodsman will carry because its such a rare event. don't even bother trying to weld/braise (it will NEVER work), I have some for sure... so not to worry... the problem is... there in my kids garage and I will need permission from my X to go retrieve this part for you out of my old house.... worst case, my son returns from the Army in march and he can grab one then, but ill ask the X if Its ok for me to get one.... wish me luck, ill let you know soon as I have one.

Doug you're the man. I have no idea how it broke. I was always careful with shaki MG it because I knew parts are hard to come by. If needs be I'll send some flowers to your X with your name on them!!!

That almost looks like you could fit a socket on there and use a socket wrench.
