I'm looking to purchase a wood/ coal hot air furnace I plan on burning mostly anthracite but will also burn some wood in the spring and fall. I have looked at U.S stove products and Harman the US stove products seem like they will not burn coal well and the Harman products are a little pricey for me at this time are there any other brands of coal/ wood furnaces I should be looking into? Thanks for the info in advance.

Welcome to the forum. My advice is to stay away from the US Stove products, whether it be the Hotblast or the Clayton, if you are going to burn Anthracite.
Hitzer makes a good product.

The DS Kozy King models look nice. I can't imagine most homes needing more than the model DS-300-9.

I was looking at the Hitzer 82 this morning looks like a great stove does anybody have any experience with the blower system I'm unable to find any literature on it I'm wondering if it can be wired to turn on with a wall thermostat?

The blower on the Hitzer is designed to come on when the firebox reaches a certain temperature.

To make the furnace produce more or less heat, it has a bimetallic thermostat on the unit that opens or closes the primary air intake damper.

You may find more stove for less money by considering a used unit. Craig's List and other classified ads can present some decent savings for those who are diligent.
