Where is the best place to put your CO detectors , should one be by the stove ? My furnace is in the cellar and I want to cover all the bases. What is the best make to get?

If you are only going to have one, it should in or near the bedroom. You really should have one on each level of your home.

Depending on local codes, he is correct, one per level, and near your bedroom(s). I have one near the stove/furnance, living area and near the bedroom.
