It would fit in there perfectly and with a broom handle I would be able to turn off the outside lights. I am tired of stubbing my toe

If I collected the Herald, G#8, the Wings Best and now the Q#8, I would have a collection of the 4 ultra competitive horsemen from Taunton. What a photo that would make!!!!!! A museum room with Taunton memorabilia. yyyyeeeaaahhhh.

Only a week ago I looked my wife in the eye and put my hand over my heart and solomnly said ... I promise I am done with collecting coal stoves..... and then I laughed and I laughed and I laughed.
:D

You've wanted one each of the four pillars of Taunton success for awhile. Certainly an opportunity that can't be missed. ;)

How's the floor joists doing, by the way ? :D

So master of Cooking with Coal. This stove is no #208 however, imagine a G#8 with a honking great ash bin and that you can shovel out with an ordinary shovel - no ash pan required. Potatoes etc. wrapped like a camp fire in the ashes.... they don't get too hot with a BB. A top oven you can stick a whole chicken in...... the heat output of a G#8. I would need a much bigger pan or just cook a chicken soup with veggies up there....

I would need a bigger pan - yeah

My knees are going weak, I had better sit down. Exit stage left mumbling incoherently ... who needs cocaine.

i'm very certain it is significantly bigger than both mentioned stoves.
and I would agree. I thought the Q#6 was nearly as big as the G#8. That has got to be a honking beast of a stove. You can always use the firepot as a boat anchor.
Or you could grow a redwood tree out of it. :D (Nice acquisition Wilson.)
How's the man-cave coming Paulie? Some nice weather coming up next week. Are you finish working the walls, or more construction of chimneys?

Due to my serious attack of extreme laziness, the stove must be ready to fire, although a new barrel is OK. I just have never been a bone pile type of guy. Waiting for one of three master stove builders in this area to find a unique part for a rare stove is like waiting for Obummer to get his head out of his a$$. So I am holding my breath .....

I'm on track to finish the plaster on the walls this week. My bride put the stop on mixing any more plaster inside the house.
bop2.
On the bright side she agreed to one more chimney in the sunroom, that I picked up on craigslist. I guess between now and this summer, I have to figure out how I can get at least 3 flues in it.
