After about a year of researching various stoves I decided on a Chubby. I found one on Ebay and picked it up on Halloween. I reached out to Larry for some advise and small parts. What a great guy, really helpful. Fast forward to last Sunday morning. Mommy and baby asleep and breakfast on, staying nice and warm. This is my first post. I have learned a lot from this forum. You guys are really helpful.

Hey guys!
Nice post there by Bob500 That is indeed a nice installation and a it looks like he keeps it clean on an ongoing basis as well. Boy the eggs look great and I agree with logs on the bacon. Maybe I'll cook some breakfast for dinner.
I love to see all of your posts guys - Thanks for keeping me between the guard rails. As always thanks to ONEDOLLAR for having my back here on the board. I also heard Hampbden Bob came across one of my earliest Coal Stove Chubbys ever made! and it is still in excellent condition. That's a treasure Bob.

Already set the date to fly out next Fall and give HB the proper instruction on how to fire up and tend his Chubby. Since all HB has ever run is one of them there "girly man" stoker stoves I anticipate a fairly harsh learning curve for Bob. Not so much because a hand fired is hard to operate by any means but more because HB still can't keep his feet on the ground over his "new" Chubby.SWPaDon wrote:Ya better pick up Hambden Bob, so he can learn first hand how to use a chubby the proper way.........those stoves ain't just for heatin and admirin ya know.
I actually called Bob yesterday and his lovely wife answered and told me Bob couldn't come to the phone because he was running around the house in a semi state of undress yelling "WOO HOO I've got a Chubby". I could hear him in the background too. It would be scary if I had never seen this type of affliction before. But alas I have. Had it once myself and to be honest you never quite get over it. It's like a bad case of the hiccups that won't completely go away.
Like "Baseburneritits" with "Chubbyitis" There is no known cure...
