It got down to 27 here last night, was wishing I had a coal fire going. Had to get up at 3:00 to put wood on the fire. It is suppose to go to 61 today and be in the 50's through next week. The long range forecast is for one more cold snap at the end of the month. Should be able to go back to coal for at least one more week this season. :D

Not yet, don't have the stove pipe. Have to order it, use Duravent and nobody locally carry it. Regular stove pipe does not have the same crimping connections so are not compatible. I am going to order it today. As mentioned above, temps are going to be in the 50's through next week, not good temps for coal on my short chimneys. Patients my friend!

started it back up. still more mild weather coming, but nights can be chilly,
hate hearing that propane burn! gonna start it up next week when
temps drop off again. miss that warm feeling in the house all the time,,

i still follow the hand fired forum as I used to run a Mark 111 before I moved
