Who gets to live?

Saw this posted elsewhere a few years back, Here's the story. The Nuclear holocaust is coming and you must get to your shelter now. You have the choice of the following people to allow into your shelter but the shelter can only fit you and six other people 6 people so you must choose between the six.

1.A forty year old violinist who is a suspected narcotics dealer.
2.A thirty four year old architect who is thought to be homosexual.
3.A twenty five year old lawyer.
4.The lawyer's twenty four year old wife who has just gotten out of a mental institution (They both want to go in together or stay out together)
5.A twenty three year old female graduate student who speaks publicly about abstinence (refraining from sexual intercourse)
6.a twenty eight year old male physicist who will only come into the shelter if he can bring his gun.
7.A thirty year old medical doctor who is thought to have Aids.
8.A forty five year old elementary school teacher.
9.A twelve year old girl who has low I.Q.
10.A seventy five year old priest
11.A fifty five year old multi billionaire who is going bankrupt.
12.A forty five year old car mechanic.

The lawyer gets nuked!
Does this shelter have a window where I could watch the lawyer sizzle like a big piece of bacon?
Other than the lawyer it would be a very tough choice.

I'll take the female grad student who preaches abstinence (I'll have lots of time to change her mind.)Something to lok at.
I'll take doctor with aids medical care
I'll take the school teacher, the priest and the mechanic. conversation.

4.The lawyer's twenty four year old wife who has just gotten out of a mental institution (They both want to go in together or stay out together) Gone, be careful what you ask for you just might get it.
5.A twenty three year old female graduate student who speaks publicly about abstinence (refraining from sexual intercourse) Keep. Need the breeding stock.
6.a twenty eight year old male physicist who will only come into the shelter if he can bring his gun. Gone, just because we need the room. Although I'll insist on keeping his gun.
7.A thirty year old medical doctor who is thought to have Aids. Keep need a doctor
8.A forty five year old elementary school teacher. Keep
9.A twelve year old girl who has low I.Q. Keep, I'm not completely heartless
10.A seventy five year old priest Gone, I'm not very religious
11.A fifty five year old multi billionaire who is going bankrupt. Gone he didn't get all of that money without screwing many people.
12.A forty five year old car mechanic. Keep. His mechanical ability will be invaluable in the future

The architect, doctor, and mechanic for obvious practical reasons

The grad student and physicist for breeding stock

The violinist for entertainment and possibly some recreational drugs to pass the time

I'd ask for another group to choose from

Six Keepers
2.A thirty four year old architect who is thought to be homosexual. Keep for doctor
5.A twenty three year old female graduate student who speaks publicly about abstinence (refraining from sexual intercourse) Keep...biological clock is always ticking
7.A thirty year old medical doctor who is thought to have Aids. Keep... free medical care until he dies of Aids and that would be one less mouth to feed. If he infects the architect, architect eventually dies, that equals 2 less mouths to feed.
8.A forty five year old female elementary school teacher. Keep....school teacher normally always has other skills...probably knows some other trade.
12.A forty five year old car mechanic. Keep...multiple years of mechanical experience...no brainer...not afraid of dirt like a lawyer would be
10.A seventy five year old priest....75 = close to end of life...keep for long conversation and lessons.


Six NO's
1.A forty year old violinist who is a suspected narcotics dealer. Violins are only good as long as the strings and bow last. If he's a violinist...the only calluses he has is on his finger tips... meaning, he's afraid of manual labor.

3.A twenty five year old lawyer. No need...25 years old means fresh out of school...never worked a day before he got to school...didn't work while he was in school....didn't really work when he got out of school....no calluses = no trade = no need.
4.The lawyer's twenty four year old wife who has just gotten out of a mental institution (They both want to go in together or stay out together) No need...married a lawyer so she wouldn't have to work....probably was a Lawyer's daughter which means her name is probably "Babs" and prior to going Nuts she probably did nothing but whine and complain....kill her before the Nukes fall.
6.a twenty eight year old male physicist who will only come into the shelter if he can bring his gun. Invite him in...take his gun...throw him out.
