4-2nately (fortunately) the coffee is hot. It's no longer April fools, I had to come up with something!

Come in good friends, come in strangers, you'll become good friends if you let yourself. Hot coffee, cool people, it doesn't get much better! Bacon & fresh duck eggs will be in the fry pan in just a bit. Tis the beginning of a good day.

I was up late last night. Custom projects take longer than expected. I'm tired of getting a flashlight to see into my cupboards.....so... I'm putting LED lights on micro switches and having no more darkness in the depths of the kitchen cupboards. Only one done so far but with time I hope to get all of them done. Yup... I'm goofy!

Linda was here for another visit. She headed back to PA on Wed. It was a beautiful day for the 13 hour drive. Plans have me going to PA in 4 or 5 weeks. She'll be back here late April & we'll drive together in my van.

The Axeman Anderson is happily dancing along. I'm aiming for May first to shut 'er down.

Enjoy the weekend!

Exciting post Freddy. I am trying out a new blend of organic coffee today and it tastes pretty good. I am passing on the other sugar rich stuff. Looks like you are passing the farm in the future as a well to do Mainah with a passion for electric cars I may be a future destination for you (see my post under cars/trucks/Tesla) ... See u soon.

Great minds think alike (or is it fools rarely differ), I just put those cheap LED lights in my kitchen too and even leave them on at night in the winter.

much better then the old soft white bulb plus I can dim the LEDs.
The stove is still pumping out heat and will continue to do so for the next few weeks as the temps are still in the 30's and 40's, still hasn't stopped me from prepping the camper for the season :D . Have a wonderful week to come, stay safe, and hug the ones you love! ;) .

FF, is there any truth to the rumor that Tesla are installing 2 charging stations at the general store in FC. One for you and one for the other guy. :)

Mornin everyone. Some real nice lighting goin on out there. Looks real good.

Been a rough week for me. Had the first of a series of three spinal injections on Tuesday. It has done nothing except to increase the pain so far. Had a second colonoscopy yesterday. This one was to remove a 1.6 cm precancerous polyp, 22 inches up inside. Luckily I didn't need to have conventional surgery, as they sent me to a specialist that is really good. I had 2 polyps (one was precancerous) removed during the first colonoscopy a couple weeks ago. Get those 'backsides' checked if your over 50 (over 40 if anyone in your family has ever had one), it may save your life.

Picked up a dozen Rhode Island Red chicks this week. They are in the brooder, growin like weeds. I still have one of my white hens seperated from the flock. I think I will reintroduce her today to see if her mean streak is gone. The other 9 hens got along great with her being seperated.

Take care and be safe all.

Good morning. Big excitement today...open houses at a few maple operations, and customer appreciation day at the local John Deere dealer. We have 2 more house showings this afternoon. I think these are # 15 and 16? No offers yet, just a lot of toe marks on the tires. Hopefully as the weather improves some new people will be out looking.

Thankfully I have a lot of coal left, starting tonight we are supposed to get an artic blast for a few days.

I don't remember if I mentioned that my Husquvarna leaf blower suddenly quit working last weekend. I was blowing all the sand out of the driveway when it made a funny noise, quit running, and would not restart. No spark...I assumed something with the magneto went wrong so I brought it to the local dealer. Turns out all it needed was a new spark plug, the old one must have had a cracked insulator. Not only was it a simple fix, the guys said no charge and to have a great day. I treated the leaf blower to a fresh batch of 91 octane non-ethanol and some synthetic premix. Now it is back to blowing the pine cones around. 8-)

Morning all, cool here but warming fast. We missed out on all that severe/tornado weather the other night, typical of Chattanooga, it seems to dissipate when it gets to the hill around here.
Of course, as soon as my bees went into the hive we had a cool down but they are busy just the same, watching for the queen to be released this weekend. Lots of people talking about bees down here, amazing what a little MSM attention does to a subject.
Just realized my propane/cooling unit was not heating, it popped a breaker last week......opened it up to a burnt circuit board and draft verifying unit just above it... :( Glad the cold weather is gone, the cooling side still works it seems... :o
I have installed LED lights under cabinets for several people, they are by far the best lighting. Now available in different tones. I put in a ceiling fixture awhile back that was LED and it was lite and bright. Hope they last as long as advertised.
Well, gotta go prepare a spot for my strawberries and cantaloupe, have great weekend all.

Kevin

Havn't had duck eggs in a dog's age, sounds deliscious! Coffee is sitting on the cookstove staying hot. Calling for crappy weather here over the weekend and into Monday. http://www.syracuse.com/weather/index.ssf/2016/01/central_new_york_weather_lake_effect_snow_wind.html

Lots of coal left so let it come! Managed to keep the Andes running this week even though temps were in the 60's. Put the stove in direct draft, opened the secondary more, primaries shut and kept the mpd 90% open. Stove went 36 hrs that way before tending this morning. Thought it would be out but still had enough fire left to shake and re-fill. Still am impressed with the fact this is oak style stove with back pipe!

Great job on the LED lighting, my pantry could use some of those lights. I have to use Fred's method of lighting for now. :D

Have a great weekend all and stay warm!
Randy

When the Doc talked to me before the procedure, he said there was a 5% chance that I would wake up with my belly stitched back together, and my colon cut in half to remove the polyp then reattached. The polyp I had was on one of the folds and very hard to get to. I remember very well what you went through with yours, and that was in my mind as they put me under. After the surgery, he said it was a tricky procedure, but he was able to remove it completely using 'pediatric' instruments.

Good Job,SWPADon ! You took it on,and now on to other Medical Moments ! Yeah,Folks think We just Love talking about stuff like this, but in reality, the only reason We open Our mouths and type about it is to get the word out to others. If You can get something cleared up and wiped out, then do it. In the spirit of all this LED lighting going on this morning,I'm thinking of having the Doc's install some into my Lower G.I. area ! What the Hell, might make it easier to see in there ! :dancing:  :out:
