Matt, at your advice I called Dan. He did call back and we ended up chatting for a couple hours. Nice guy, and has access to some parts. He advised to drill holes in pipe on coal bin side of tube to eliminate any back gas. I told him I go short on the Yuengling to get the same effect.  :) Scott

Sorry guys but it doesn't look like the covers are gonna make the green. My friend Mark is just too excited about being a coalburner that he doesn't want the covers done. He wants it NOW!!! Oh well, there goes my green project :D A couple final pics to close out.

Bfore it left it got a good reaming with the pipe taps up to 1 1/4". Nothing worse than trying to put a joint together that is all rusted.

Hate to see this one go. These stokers are big and strong. All there.

Thank you for this post!!!! I sure hope all this info gets 'memorialized' in a safe place. (Heard a lawyer saying that and couldn't wait for an appropriate time to use it). Now we can pin a BTU rating to those GJ stokers and boilers we have.

Did you ever buy that rig in Bellows Falls???? :?: :?:

Thanks, Scott. I've been wondering about the lb/hr capability of the (unused) GJ-62 stoker I have in the garage. Mystery solved.
