You can say that again! It looked like "by God these bags say 100 lbs so that's what we Will put in them." Our crew was made of skinny twigs of youth from the church who didn't weigh more then 115 lbs themselves. And just for to make it more fun the bags had deteriorated over the years so the crew was dealing with that, too. It was an interesting day. I hope it burns easily after all is said and done. Lisa

Just like '7 layer dip'...
Unless it is real cold you want to fill the gaps of that Stove coal...
Did a lot of 'urban mining'...
The more difficult the extraction, the better the deposit...
I have had people pay me to remove their problem, usually relators 'cleaning up the place...
The deposits usually are older better quality coal from 'back in the day'!.. ;)

A geological report of these deposits, such as yours is interesting.

What instruments you use in the detection and of course the mining equipment is also of interest.

Got mine to.
Worked out at 157.00 a ton with delivery
20.2 tons
I guess they couldn't fit 22 ton in a Tri-axle.
Still a great savings, I am hoping for 2 years out of it. fingers crossed.
I love the way that wood boiler is surrounded, oh well I guess I'll just not use it.

Will have my 3 tons of coal delivered on 9/14/16 at $285 a ton delivered. Looking forward to having my bin full early this year. Topped of my oil tank at 1.99 a gallon and will have a 100 dollar credit cause I have not use much since mid May.

Thanks Don,
I was so happy last year I just kept running and I still have a ton or so left.
I expected to get more in the coal bin, but she filled right up with the 20.2 ton.
Nice to have all fuel ready to go, just need to fire up the yellow coal bucket and fill some coal skids inside the basement.
Added a homemade dust separator to my coal vac, just need to try her out.

My work brings me to peoples houses...
Comcast, the local cable provider, likes to leave their modems in basements for the ease of install...
Coal usually lives in the basement...
As people age coal can no longer be brought up or people just quit burnin' it...
Somebody inherits the house or needs to clean it up for sale...
Oh and people know I burn coal so...
I know of a few 5+ ton bins that have been unused for several years...
Just makin a list an checkin it twice...
Some of the hauls have been from remote locations and have been there 20+ years...
Nice coal, shoudda seen the size of that Stove coal, softballs I tell ya...

This last week I encountered a double basement mine score. The first deposit is about a 1/4 ton of pea coal. The second deposit is about 1/2 ton of nut. Both deposits are in old coal basement bunkers :P

My Vig 2310 will burn both after I bucket the score out. I have a one ton bin outside the kitchen door and I burn the pea when I first light the stove off on coal so it's going on the right side of the bin. When it gets colder I do a pea/nut mix. The nut goes on the left side of the bin and I scoop from the middle of the bin for the mix.

3/4 ton of exactly the size I use and the price is right. "Haul it out and you can have it. It's dirty and I don't want it." she said. Yes Maaammm no problem. :D
