Meet and Greet for 2016 - Saturday Sept. 17th

PostBy: Richard S. On: Tue Aug 09, 2016 10:04 am

I've started a new topic to prevent any confusion about where and when this will occur. I also want to thank Jack(Den034071) for putting this together.

Saturday Sept. 17th

If you are getting coal you'll want to get it in the AM. Lehigh is close and there is other places nearby. Most breakers are open on Saturday in September, be sure to confirm.

11:00AM -
Meet at the #9 mine tour and museum for parking, if you have truck and trailer you'll probably want to park it here. We can carpool to the restaurant for lunch which is short distance away.
Click for directions to mine.

11:30AM -
Lunch at Marco's Pizza
Click for directions to Marco's Pizza.

1:00PM -
Mine museum and mine tour at the number nine mine. The mine tours leave on the hour so if we have a large group it might be a good idea to have some of you show up a little before 1. We'll see how it works out. Remember to bring a sweater with you, it's going to be in the mid 50's inside the mine.

4:00PM -
Leave the number nine parking lot for drinks and food at Cintarelli's bar or wherever we end up. If you are going to just the bar afterward be sure to meet in the parking lot before 4PM as the destination may change.

Note that if you are going to show up in the middle of the timeline I'll be sure to stick around so you aren't missed. e.g. if you are going to the bar only I will be in parking lot until 4PM. I'll be driving a black Buick .

Jack can fill in the rest of the details and information.

Well, don't "Bottom-Out 'Yer Boiler",but it looks like myself and Miss Julie are going to make the run to this one...... I've always wanted to make these events, but something's always gotten in the way. Not this time. Now it's on to seeing if I can find some Lodging choices and get on the phone. It will be good to put some faces with their respective mouses and keyboards ! :dancing: toothy

Well I'll be damned,Keepa ! That does put a whacked-out perspective twist to how this is working out ! It kinda' fits..... It has been such a dis-jointed,mayhem schedule type of a year so far,so "The Bride" and I are thinking a Coal Road Trip might just get the Early Fall off to a rousing start. The Big Benefit would be in meeting a few of You that make this place hum......! :dancing:
