The No.9 will be having it's annual Memorial Day picnic on Sunday May 25th from 11 to 4. There will be a DJ there along with home made ethnic foods.
We will also be having a Coal Miners Heritage Festival on Sunday July 13th from 10 to 5 rain or shine. There will be displays there from Abandoned Mine Research, Mine Rescue (tentitive) , Delaware and Lehigh Heritage Corridor,and Local Mine Memorilbilia Collectors just to mention a few. There will also be ethnic foods and live music. You can try your hand at shoveling 1ton of stove sized coal, watch our live demonstrations on blacksmithing, timber setting, and spiking rail. All in all it will be a fun day. If anybody needs directions just PM.

Ok folks if your in the neighborhood on the 13th of july stop in at the No.9 mine and museum in Lansford. We will be having our first annual Coal Miners Heritage Festival. The first 200 people get half price admisson to the mine and museum. In addition to our regular tours there will also be: A coal shoveling Competiton, Timber Demonstrations, Craft Fair, Patch town Historical Reenactments, Ethnic and Cultural Heritage Displays and Sales, Mining Canal, Railroad, Brewing and Local History Displays, Homemade Coal Region Foods, Chicken BBQ, Strolling Minstrels and Musicians, Old time fiddl music, Childrens games, Birds of Prey, and lots more.
