Well after numerous phone calls messages and a reported video on u tube I guess its time to let the cat out of the bag, D S STOVES introduced the new boiler, base and stoker unit they developed at their dealer show on Thursday the 14th of July. 200,000 BTU underfed pot,50 gal water cap. variable speed feed and air control, out fire control user friendly controls with lots of options, a lot of time, effort and research as well as countless hours of test burning went into this unit, further testing to be done and I will be running one of the prototypes in my shop this year. Several units will be built for test burning this year, full production should begin in time for the 2017-2018 heating season . I will try and update this as we move along with this project SCRAPPER

Sounds great. Looking forward to some feedback once you get it hooked up in the shop.

There is news of this in Jr. Remingtons thread . I was floored When I found out that they went the underfed route as it must be much more labor and material intensive than the inclined/pusher carpet type . Very interesting..... The simplicity/efficiency of the underfed makes me wonder why everyone doesnt have one in their basement :gee:

You and me both Waldo!

Not to take anything away from the old school under fed stokers, but it's about time we had a new one! I'm sure this will give a lot of confidence to those that want an under fed but are not willing to go with an older refurbed unit and don't want to pay the $10K + for a new EFM.

Fire view door large enough to access the pot , you can dissemble it right through the door, 50 gal of water, out fire control, every nut and bolt is stainless steel, augers and tubes are all stainless, entire pot can be taken apart and rebuilt, secondary high limit shutoff 5 gal domestic coil with extended flange, no more broken studs, direct variable speed feed control with a range of 1 to 10 rpm with 15 pounds an hour max ,variable speed fan control as well as an hour meter. Bypass switch for out fire control for making fire . base has raised legs to keep it off the floor Over the years I have experimented with many pot configurations that I built so when these guys decided they were going to build a new stoker and boiler we put our heads together and built this unit .time will tell with testing and changes in the next few months .
