So gran kids bought a Honda XL500, to swap engine out of it into an atv.... motor needs some serious work. Parts are hard to come by, and exspensive.... I offered to buy it if they changed mind about the swap.... I now own a XL500 basket case......

Yes winter project.... starting buy engine parts I know it needs, connecting rod kit with bearing, spacers shims and center journal pin. new camshaft, and chain for valve train(wear items). I'm suure there will be more, boring cylinder, new piston/rings etc... and what ever else I find bad that needs to be replaced. Engine first, then on to frame, suspension rebuild/painting, etc.....

All the haying I been doing and SELLING, for past month or so is paying for this and other things..... Nice to finally bemaking some money selling hay.
