I'm looking for anyone who has burned Lehigh pea year round in an AHS Coal Gun or AA Anthratube boiler. I'd like to know how well it performed for you during the warm/summer months. I'm asking because I've only burned Blaschak, Harmony, and Stockton to date, and of those three, Stockton gave me out-fires when it was warm outside, whereas Blaschak and Harmony (no longer available) chugged right along with no issues.

PS: Also knowing how well it performed during the cold months would be a bonus.

Larry, the only member I can think of that burned Lehigh through the summer in an AA/AHS is Townsend. I believe he ran that 260 year round on Lehigh pea, although it was a few years ago.

No, sadly there is not. I'm considering the full T/L route here.

I bet they would send you a few pails to try. You could also ask Freddy, he just got a TT load of Lehigh pea.

Larry,
 If you haven't, you might talk to Bob Bosler.
Not so much for buying through him, but Bob has a good insight into different burning properties of the various coal sources.

He has rattled off to me, in the past, the various attributes of various coal sources.

For a easy burning low ash summertime water heating coal I would have Blaschak and Reading on my list for starters. And as you, I'd be real curious to find out of Lehigh.

Bob Bosler, Middlefield, Oh, has Lehigh coal in stock. $220 per ton bulk. He charges 8 bucks a ton to deliver. Nice guy to talk to. He told me that Lehigh rice would burn fine in my K6 boiler year round.

Bob is about 80 miles from me and he charges a bunch more than $8/ton to deliver here. Does he have Lehigh pea?

I'm not sure about Lehigh pea. He gave me bulk prices on Lehigh, Blashak and Reading. I was not looking for pea coal

Give Bob a call, he has always carried Pea coal for his Amish clientele.

You can have anybody you want to haul your coal loads.

Here's a feller who burned Lehigh Rice all through the summer in an under-fed EFM:
