Hey guys figure I'd share a few photos of an ACME Carbon 14 I've had sitting down at the shop for a few years. These are a bit rare and wanted to show the inner workings. Just did a cosmetic upgrade due to facts it's just for show for now. Still running my Florence 153 on coal. These ACME stoves are a great little heater but cannot compare to the larger Florence. The main principle of this type of stove is it has a separate sealed cast iron blatter. The blatter is covered by the decorative body. Some people call this type of stove a double heater due to the fact you can run a pipe off the top of the stove upstairs to another room because the inside blatter contains the smoke. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Very nice ! Do you have the little round decorative cover that sits behind the finial when the double heater is not piped in to the second floor?

Like many of us, .... that Acme looks much better when it puts it's "clothes" on.
Nice job, on a very pretty stove, Paned. Thanks for posting.
I took the liberty of standing it up for ya, so that those of us with arthritis in our necks can see how good looking it is !

Missing the top cap Paulie. Also grate was gone when I got the stove. It has a wire grate in it right now.

I was missing that cover on one of my Acme Carbon #12's . I needed a few brass handles cast for an Antique Ice Box at a local foundry and decided to have a cover cast too.Paned wrote:Missing the top cap Paulie. Also grate was gone when I got the stove. It has a wire grate in it right now.
I'm not sure if the grates are the same on the #12, but I will be sending a set out in a few weeks to have cast for the other stove.
If you are interested in a brass one send me a pm and I will have them make another. I think the brass one was about $30
