410 lbs. burned in the month of August. ~13.22 lbs. per day on average.
And so far September is below that by a bit.
No timer. No adjustments. No out-fires (so far) this summer. Simmering along nicely on Blaschak pea.

It's only the wife and I, and neither of us linger in the shower. A few minutes and out. We have 2 GPM shower heads. Laundry is generally done on only one day per week.Rob R. wrote:It would be very tough to get it any lower. You must be pretty frugal with your hot water usage?

Larry,
You are still beating me by 5+ pounds per day. I'm just 1 person for DHW. Then again, I am not at all frugal with the hot water. I want to use enough to get the stoker to run at least once a day.

The downside is that if I run a really hard and high purity (low volatiles) high carbon anthracite (such as Stockton) in it during the summer I will experience occasional outfires. Only the blended anthracites that many would call not as good (such as Blaschak), or the higher volatility types (such as Harmony, now no longer available) work perfectly for me. That's why I'm running the thread inquiring about the use of Lehigh in the AHS/AA lines during the summer.
