Those look more like clinker grinding teeth around the outside of that barn side hanging grate. Wrong shape teeth of a cog type gear - at best they might work for a worn gear. But the bracket screwed onto the ring makes me think that's part of the shaker mechanism.

Maybe it's from a basement coal furnace and the longer reach of that bracket gets it out past firebox surrounding hot air jackets ? Some had long, vertical handles as part of the external push/pull shaker lever systems.

Hi, what parts would you need to have recast ? I don't know for sure what will or won't work but perhaps the guy with the 415 will know.

get back to me and i'll call and ask.

The internal part that supports the shaker ring and the rear parts that make up the base burner chambers- the mounting tabs are broken off not sure if that can be repaired.

To get a real good look I would have to tear the stove down. I picked this up as a project but has just been sitting out in the barn. Lol[/quote]

Fav416,

i have had a talk with the guy that has the 415, he says there is no way that the pot, support or pieces of the back would work from the 415 to 416. :(

sorry,
steve

further more, things have just gone from interesting to serious.

i have agreed to a deposit on the Favorite 415. a decision less than 24 hrs. old that i'm already casting back and forth about :?

i guess I have taken the "let them eat cake" position on this one so, i'll have to go ahead and actively sell my little collection of warm morning stoves and parts and FRANK.

considering all the logistics it will probably be Jan. before I have custody. by which time we may be at war , under marshall law, and i'll never see it and be fighting for what coal I can find both.

if not, i'll have managed the one item on my bucket list i'll ever actually achieve. :D

Steve,
Remember,"Good things come to he who waits." ;)

In the meantime, try not to get the "coal stove shakes" until after the stove arrives. :D
