Good evening all,
Boy, was this busy weekend. First, I spent most of Saturday painting the basement room. Actually, I did the trim and ceiling. I have a Wagner Power Paint roller so while time consuming it didn't require a lot of effort.
After that, I rescued a Vermont Casting Vigilant wood stove. An elderly couple in my church had it in their basement unused for the last 20 years and were looking to get it out of the house. They had no takers so I took it and will clean it up, maybe convert it to coal and donate it to Rev Larry's Heat Ministry. Whether or not it's converted to coal will depend on if I can find the coal conversion kit for a reasonable price. So far, I'm not having any luck with that. The stove is in really good shape - very little rust - and will not need a lot of work done on it. Hopefully, I'll have it done before the winter.
Fall is in the air here, too. Today DK and I took our Trikes and explored Prince William Forest National Park. The Park is 30 miles south of DC and really doesn't have any claim to fame. It's not a Yellowstone or Yosemite but they do have lots of bike trails and fire roads that Trikes can handle. The only problem was that it is mostly hills. Not necessarily steep hills but long, slow hills. Overall it was fun and we'll probably go back.
I hope everyone had an equally great weekend, take care, Lisa

Late nite indeed...
The honorary Triplet was up late on prednisone...
First time and got it late at the doc...
At 11:30 pm, I thought she was asleep, she sits down next to me...
and says "I'm hungry"...
Has a full meal...
I was up runnin' the power snake with root cutters...
Seems we have a broken cast iron drain pipe...
Roots intruded and caused big problems...
Needs replacement but runnin' fine after a four hour trim...
