I knew what coal could do but spent 2 years trying to burn it in a wood coal stove that was designed for wood mostly.
I still have the half burned coal to prove it. then I came across this site . I read and read post after post. I ended up finding a surdiac 720 stove needed a little work ,but thats where this site really came in. Franco , Joeq , and ElcamMan515 were an awesome help to me . As well as many others, So I thank you.
Vic

Vic,

Now that you are a coal burner, be careful of the coal bug it is very addicting. Many members on here have more than 1 stove.

Once you learn your Surdiac's characteristics you will see how well these stoves can heat.
Any questions about the stove feel free to ask.

Tim

KEyeonit, if youll look closely at the instruction manual, one of the first things mentioned is not to put the stoker on top of the beer cooler!!!! :no2: sorry thought that was Don and one of his many stoker experiments!

It does look like a cooler, I had to double check . It's from Meet and Greet and the beer was flowing that day so a cooler would have been possible 8-) It's actually plastic crate with some blocks on it. That's Dave from LL with his girl roasting the marshmallow. There is a picture of me floating around somewhere roasting one. That actually worked surprisingly well.
