put a couple more in the pan for me rob ill be over in a minute!

lit the boiler last sunday, been burning around 23 pounds a day for dhw, house gets a little warm but I just crack the window stats, nothing like a dry basement now!

Planning on getting my TT load of lehigh pea coal for the 10th, waiting to hear back from them.

I think my DHW coil has plugged up a little over the summer while not in use, if I turn on more than one thing I loose pressure, I messed up when I installed the coil and only ran 1/2" pex to my electric hot water tank, (i feed my coil with city water, then feed my electric tank with coil hot water) everything else is 3/4" pex, but I didnt have a flow issue last year, so im thinking its starting to plug up a little, I have to see what I can come up with today to flush it..

Going to be a cool one today, 51 outside now and only a high of 60 with a chance of rain.

Enjoy the weekend!

Flush water through that coil in both directions, and run the water into a clean pail. Let us know what you find. :)

nothing but clean HOT water lol but with low pressure.. must be starting to plug up.. I didnt think town water would have stuff in it to clog pipes?

Ask the residents of Detroit!

I had to install a $2000 water softener/filter because my town water was so bad.

Flush the coil with CLR and you'll be amazed at what comes out.

Plattsburgh municiple water has plenty of hardness. When it gets heated in the coil the minerals precipitate out. It is one of my biggest gripes about tankless coils. Water softeners help a lot, but the coil will still need occasional maintenace.

How old are they? What variety (species)?

My wife found a small hawk sitting in our coop yesterday. Along with 3 hens. It wasn't after the hens, it was preying on the sparrows that fly in and out and help themselves to the layer mash. We'll have to see if this causes a drop in egg production. If not, then the hens were not too concerned about it.

My mother in law lives in Miami and is off on a 7 day cruise of the Bahamas today. Who says you can't get what you want by praying?

4 buffs, 1 Rhode Island red, and the other 8 seem to be Red Stars and something else that looks similar to a Red Star. They hatched in May.

I just found an egg that is huge!

If all it takes to cause excitement around here is a couple of eggs,well.... let the Good Times roll !!

Good Morning,Gang ! I'm just gonna' wolf down a cup of Joe and hit the road. My Buddy's Brother-In-Law had a pretty rough leaving of Us All,so We're going to Celebrate his Life with Family and Friends this morning..... I do like the shift to the way We do things now,but maybe We've always done it this way. Funerals aren't supposed to be fun,but when You can convert to a Victory over Death, and smile thinking about who You've lost, well,I'm all in on that ! :gee:

On a different note,We've been getting it pretty good with this stalled, spinning toilet bowl front this week. Depending where You are in the swirl,You've received close to 2-3" of rain along with some trouble-causing wind. Obviously, compared to what that Hurricane's going to be producing,it's a drop in the bucket. For Us,it's still alot of Barfo Weather to muddle on through !

As the Great Freddarico always sez: "Hug Your Loved Ones" !

That should work. Put it in a pail and let it recirc. Through the coil.
