The bags do have perforations in them, but they are sealed at both ends.

The two closes dealers for coal near where I live sell Kimmel's and Blaschak. Any recommendation on which to purchase to burn in the DF-520? The dealer for Kimmel's has better delivery service, but the two cost the same with delivery factored into the price.

With Blaschak you will get a consistent blend of various coal for uniform BTU and ash content.
