Just a reminder to all as we come to a new burn season, Lets keep it a safe season.
Remember to replace your out of date detectors and put in fresh batteries in all of your devices.

I believe that most CO detectors are only good for 5 years, then they need replaced. That reminds me that I've got a couple in need of replacement.

That's why I always use a sharpie maker to write the purchase date on all my CO/smoke detectors. I need a new one this year, too. Home Depot has one with a 7 year battery that I think I'll get just so I don't have to fool with it.

I have the 110 volt wall socket type. Literature says 7 year life. Has test mode and also an end of life signal, so should be good to go as they are only 1 yr. old.

My CO detector that came with my Keystoker went into alert mode that it needed replacement almost to the day 7 years after it was fist plugged in.
