I'd say You hit "Paydirt" with that new tiller,Freddy ! Should come in real handy for adding and mixing in some layers of organic material and soil amendments tailored to the crops You want to grow ! Thank You,Hydraulics ! :junmp:

Hi Everyone, a very lazy day here in Michigan.
Well, not really, I woke up to a chilly bedroom. about 60*,, thermostat set at 69*.. I could hear water circulation in the baseboards..

So, downstairs, hit the button on the coffeepot on the way, grabbed a flashlight and went into the basement..
Sure enough the pilot light was out on the boiler.. the thermocouple would not power the pilot light valve in the gas valve.
I had one nearby, and in about 30 minutes I had the boiler making heat again..

I seem to go through thermocouples every year or two in this boiler.. yet I've never had to change one in a hot water heater.. I wonder why that is? This one I replaced this morning had a slight melting on the very tip..
I went to the hardware store/lumberyard and bought two additional thermocouples.. for stock, and next year's failure of the 'new' one..

We have had really wonderful weather, a bit of rain last week, but it is needed.. I think we've had 4 nights with frost, but no 'HARD' frost.. nothing that didn't melt with an hour of sunlight.. I think the lowest indicated temp has been 30*..
Yesterday was chilly, a high of maybe 50*, but the sky was clear. Today through Wednesday are forecast to be in the 60;s,
with lows around 40*... I'll take it..

Freddie: you are gonna love that roto-tiller. The walk behind kind beat the be-jezzus out of ya, but the 3-point ones just make a great seed bed out of compacted hard dirt. Just be careful of rocks in the soil.. they will jam the tiller, and break or bend it.. Don't ask how I know..:-(

Everyone have a great weekend,,

GregL

Good evening guys and gals, no coffee for me Freddy but I will take another Rum and Coke :drunk: :D .
I had a nice productive day, got rid of a load of scrap, cleaned up my Fathers car (getting ready to sell It), offed a load of waste oil to a friend, took care of some leafs, and started cleaning the camper, now I'm ready for bed so I can rest up for another full day tomorrow .
The temps are still to warm for the light-off but I think It's fast approaching, maybe in a week or so :dancing: .

Nice tiller Freddy and like LSfarm said It won't beat the dog sh-- out of you  , ok friends have a safe week and enjoy :)

Hi guys, sorry I missed breakfast - Saturday DK and I went our separate ways early but got back together for a late afternoon ride. We went to a little visited State Park not far from here. There isn't much to do at this park but it does have a decent bike trail that leads to Belmont Bay on the Potomac River about 10 miles south of DC. We timed it just right for a great sunset.

No excuses for yesterday because we didn't do anything until late when we went to a basic bike maintenance class. Now we are prepared if we blow a tire or just a flat.

Not much else going on this week, I'm off work today and tomorrow due to student holidays. I'll be heading to Williamsburg tomorrow to spend time with my daughter's family.

The Marx brothers are ready to go and I'll be lighting the match this weekend since next week has some rain in the forecast. I'm looking forward to coming home to a cozy house.

Take care, Lisa
