I am new to coal and am going to buy my first stove. I have a 3 story 3,000 sq.ft. house. I want to put the unit in the cellar and tie it in to the duct work. I will direct vent it for now. I am looking at 3 stoves or furnaces. The leisure line
hyfire II, the reading susquehanna and the keystoker koker. Any comments or thoughts about any of these stoves would be a great help. Thanks for the help! Plumb-r

I've heard only good things about Leisure Line and Keystoker, don't know the other.

Check the difference, if there is one, between direct vent, and power vent. A power vent uses a bunch of electricity and with coal would be running 24/7. If I had to use a power vent I'd put it on the old system & use the chinmey for the coal.

This was my first year with the LL Pioneer & it was great. The Coal-trol is a must have & comes standard on all LL's. Get the Hyfire with a Hot Air Jacket & you won't be sorry. Jerry from LL is a manufacturer rep on this forum & is right here to answer your questions. Good luck.
