Yesterday I made a trip to Lehigh anthracite for a trailer load of buck. When I turned the corner onto E Broad Street [where Lehigh is located] I immediately noticed I was in hot water. There were no cars anywhere on the street and lots of people lining the curb all the way up the hill. Fire police were at every intersecting cross street. Ott OH!!! I could not back up the rig back onto Rte 309 traffic so I proceeded slowly ,as a parade float, to the first cop. He said parade forming up the hill and I was to take the first road to the right ,then the first road left, and follow it up to the top of the hill and that might bring me out past where the parade was forming so I could proceed to Lehigh. When I got up the hill to where I thought the road ended I took a left down the steep hill to get back on E. Broad street. Empty road [e broad st], with a car stopped at the bottom of the hill. Looked O. K. The car at the bottom was unoccupied down there to block the intersection and since the parade was forming right there, no access to e broad street was possible. Now I have to back up the entire steep uphill block with cars parked on both sides of me. No room for error and the clutch did not like it at all. I backed into the busy intersection at the top of the hill and went up the alley between back yards of the houses. Narrow alley with cars fighting thru from both ends of the block. Inches to spare in some cases, opposing cars stopped and drivers staring at each other in some other cases. Eventually made it back down the hill onto e broad st and into the Lehigh property. I found the same helpful folks and great looking coal at Lehigh as usual. On the trip home I was wondering if I am nuts to go thru this kind of thing just to burn rocks, until I lite off that is. I can tell you all one thing I am never ever going near Tamaqua when they have their Veterans Day parade ever again, never ever. Mike

Rob, Forget about my low voltage problems you ask ??? I didn't even know if that old Dodge had a instrument panel in front of my steering wheel. Good thing I have a very slow fuse otherwise it could have been straightjacket time for this old boy. Mike

Finally got to lite off the Keystoker with some of the Buckwheat parade coal. The coal is simply great. It is clean and has zero appreciable fines in it. It is hard to get better coal anyplace the way I see it. Parades however, continue to be another story. Mike
