OMG, that is beautiful! Does the chimney flue go right through the top of the arch?

Scott, the area right under the stove/arch looks like plain finished concrete--is he gonna go flagstone or some type of tile?

Ok now I got ya Fred....

The floors are not done yet, they will be Pecan prefinished wood. I think he's gonna do porcelain ceramic tile under the stove come spring. I will be nice I'm sure.

Thanks for the kudos guy's but it's all Skip and Tony's handiwork! All I did was assemble the barrel onto the firepot :D

I need to add so many to the Glenwood Base Burner Society that I can't keep up.
Welcome to our little group and welcome to Coal Stove Easy Street.

Right you are William.

A year ago, the #8 was one of the rarer Glenwood base heaters. There was only about 5 or 6 members that had one. Since then, I think the number of owners has doubled. We even have one member with two #8's.

Wonderful to see them being saved, restored, and put back to doing what they do best !!!! ;)

See what ya started ? :D

Too nice a stove to just leave it laying around, so I took the liberty of standing it up for ya. :D

Sure is a beauty !

So when are you getting one ? ;)

And BTW, why are the grates turned on an angle while it's running ?
