Robins Garden Center in Oxford, MA is considering being the first MA to carry Lehigh Anthracite in a very long time. (Nut Size)
Back in the late 70's and early 80's The Chubby Stove Co sold Lehigh Coal to the tune of about 24 tons a week. It is some GREAT coal and frankly it is time this coal was available in Massachusetts.
The garden center owner says if the people ask the people will receive. If she said if she gets enough calls she will bring it in. This is within a pick-up truck ride for most on the north and south shore who want a high quality anthracite coal this season. It is worth the ride and the price. Low ash high BTU coal. It is really better.

Medway Oil bought out Barney coal and carries Reading bagged coal. They deliver by the ton pallet and gave a really neat (don't know the correct name) "fork lift" on the back of the truck. You also can pick up individual bags at the same $/bag. They even can put it in my garage with that rig! I do have a pallet jack and extra pallets that they place it on. The pallets it comes on won't fit a hand pallet jack. I use the hand pallet jack to move ir to the back of my garage.
Cranstion (RI) Coal serves areas of MA with bulk and bagged coal. They don't have the fancy powered pallet jack so moving pallets is up to you. If you buy bulk, they have a 15' shoot to dump from the truck.

I just started burning Coal from a dealer in Baldwinville MA, it's great stuff. I think he said it was from Sherman Coal. I cant believe the difference in ash and clinkers between it and the Kimmel's Coal.
