At My Wits End
have a keystoker 90, been having issues with it since day one this year. everything was cleaned, now it seems the coal is building up to about 2" on the grate and the temp on stove is at 200 deg. I have the feed at the slowest possible. im sure i'll have more Q's to follow, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thermostat or CoalTrol for temp. control?
A few more details would be helpful. Many of have keystokers, or similar stoves. they all operate about the same.
Sounds like your only running on the TIMER box if equipped and not thermostat.

I read that as the coal is building up to deep on the plate. I had to sand the cast iron plates one year as the coal would not slide on them. Maybe you have some roughness from over the summer?

You say you've had problems since day one this year. Does this mean the stove ran fine last year? Or, is this a new install this year?
A couple things to try:
1.) As mentioned, smooth grate surface.
2.) Is the stoker side of stove plumb? (Stoker flange needs to be plumb)
3. Are you putting wet coal through the stove? (Damp fines sticking together)
