I had a whole bunch of plans to get out in the barn today, light the waste oil burner, and tackle a clutch issue on a Polaris ATV ... but I slept till 9, took 2 hours for breakfast, looked out the window at the rain and 36° on the weatherstation, and decided I was finished before I started, lol. Suppose I can take one day off before Christmas.
We got a little tree outside ... that keeps tipping over whenever the wind blows. It's decorated with indoor, non-waterproof lights ... as it sits there in the pouring rain. I'll have to keep an eye out for a fireworks display when the timer kicks on later ... BZZZZZTT!!!
Good to see familiar "faces" here on the board! Sorry for skipping out for so long - these modern cars just kick my rear every time. I still think an ultimate-fighting cage match with a few auto engineers for charity is a great idea ... let me spend just 15 minutes on one of their designs, and I'll flatten them, no matter how big they are.
This will be my tree later .... Ya'll have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Merry Christmas wherever you are, Loving this 70+ day in Chattanooga. Green Christmas indeed. I have a little display out as well Freetown, it is my fathers Roy Toy log cabin from the 50's. My mother blessed me with it out of 5 children so it is up this year for the first time outside of Maine. She used to work at the original factory in East Machias and I know the current owner and he still makes them in East Machias. Found new ones at Walmart and got them for the grands. Played 2 hours of full court basketball this morning and having a blackberry brandy and eggnog waiting to go to the sons new home and hang with the grands and eat till I burst, Spiral ham tonight.....yum.
Merry Christmas Friends and how are ya'll doing on this Christmas Eve? we are doing as good as can be expected . My fathers Hospice nurse was here on Wednesday and told us 5 days or so, we are now just keeping him comfortable and just being by his side, I have been sleeping( or trying to ) by his side for the last 2 nights doing what It takes for his care with 5 or so Hrs of sleep in the past two days but we are still doing it with there help as they have been seeing him everyday since Tuesday and called today just to see If everything was ok!
I do have a pic of the Glenwood warming us with its silence surrounded with some Xmas decorations

I have not.... weird but I don't own a video camera, other than my flip phone.... I suppose Linda's smart phone might take a video. It's not real exciting! LOL Just go look at a "Dazzler: commercial....it's just like that, but no tree. It's just the shape of a tree.
Barry, we are in the same boat with the parents. My MIL is still with us. All the siblings were here today. She got a little agitated with so many here but some extra medication seemed to calm her down.
We have come to take the hospice nurses timeframe with a grain of salt. 3 days ago we were told 24-48 hours. But she is still kicking. ....... Enjoy the time that is left. We are ..........
