The only thing that comes to mind is if it somehow got plugged when the dampers are open and the draft strength is higher showing a high reading ???? If that's possible to plug it under such condition ?

Then the gauge would "store" that high reading. But then, I think you'd notice that the reading would not change at all with wind gusts, or changing damper settings.

when I burn wood and it plugs, it goes higher. Its always windy here and maybe that plays a roll, it storing whatever pressure is inside of it. Maybe it still has a small opening, hell I don't know why  Im not a scientist but thats what happens to me.

Mine went to 2.0 (not .2) just a few days ago when I finished burning up my soft coal and it plugged. I'll take a pic next time but that will be in the spring when I go back to wood. I clean the end of the brake line and it works fine again.

I'm curious to know. How would a plugged mano probe show lower pressure than what is actually going on inside the pipe ?

Larry's seemed to show stronger vacuum too when it plugged, I remember him saying he had -.40

I don't know why lol

I just discovered the blower really cools the flue exit off. My manometer meter climbed after I turned the blower from high to low. I remember my Buck stove blower would cycle on and off this blower is not automatic big difference there.

You can put a thermal snap switch on the jacket somewhere. I use one on mine to cycle the blowers. During moderate heat demand the blowers run nonstop. During mild weather they cycle on and off, just to save some electricity.
