We have windmills in PA. Why has my electric bill rates doubled over the past decade?

Alternative energies? More like "taxpayer funded ripoffs and funding to special friends" :( Grrr...

90% FRAUD

We need a RECALL VOTE option for every elected official and appointed gov't job. Judges included.

If they do not serve the will of the People, they should go. See what GOOD can be accomplished when elected officials and gov't employees FEAR the PEOPLE, instead of their "political padres"

Funny thing is, once gov't starts being ACCOUNTABLE to the People, perhaps even Bernie will get behind it....unless his EGO isn't as selfless as he pretends ;)

I agree with this. Too many times a politician runs on one thing..........then smashes us over the noggin with his hidden agenda. :hammer: :bop:

Likely because more and more coal fired plants have been shutting down ?

We get the bulk of our electric from hydro here and it's cheap and steady. Last year they raised the electric rate for the first time in the 25 years I've lived here. It went up a half a cent per KWH because of increased costs of maintaining the system.

As a result, a lot of homes here in town have electric boilers for their main heat. The part that impacts our KWH rate is the "purchased power" when they have to use gas-fire power plants to meet the extra demand over what our town's hydro contract KWH allotment is.

In Summer, when demand is low, we only pay about 4 cents per KWH total, now. In winter, when demand gets really high, that can go as high as 10 cents per KWH with that more expensive gas-fired purchased power added to the bill. And yes, we have lots of windmills here too. All they've really done is to allow the power companies to not need to build more plants as power demand has increased. So far, the windmills aren't really saving much, or making lots of money for their owners, even with their government subsidies to try and make them competitive. That's why demand for windmills around here has dropped off the last decade.

I was recently at a courthouse to petition for legislation to increase accountability of judges to the people...they kicked me out...

But, what what? CT Constitution, Art. 1st, sec. 5 says:
SEC. 5. No law shall ever be passed to curtail or restrain the liberty of speech or of the press.

Yeah, a lawsuit is eminent ....

Here in PA, I would file criminal charges, 2nd Degree Misdemeanor.

CHAPTER 53

ABUSE OF OFFICE

Sec.

5301. Official oppression.

5302. Speculating or wagering on official action or information.

5303. Liability for reimbursement of costs for outside counsel.

Enactment. Chapter 53 was added December 6, 1972, P.L.1482, No.334, effective in six months.

Cross References. Chapter 53 is referred to in section 5508.3 of Title 53 (Municipalities Generally); section 6017 of Title 64 (Public Authorities and Quasi-Public Corporations).

§ 5301. Official oppression.

A person acting or purporting to act in an official capacity or taking advantage of such actual or purported capacity commits a misdemeanor of the second degree if, knowing that his conduct is illegal, he:

(1) subjects another to arrest, detention, search, seizure, mistreatment, dispossession, assessment, lien or other infringement of personal or property rights; or

(2) denies or impedes another in the exercise or enjoyment of any right, privilege, power or immunity.

Here's a link to our statute: http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/LI/consCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&ttl=18&div=0&chpt=53&sctn=1&subsctn=0

Maybe CT has similar?

LOTs of wind generators Built in Pa. Companies that build them are out of state electric power companies. Out of state tax breaks from Pa to those companies, no benefit to Pa residents. So.. its time to call YOUR elected escape career politician and explain how his decision is putting it up your arsee!!!

You are correct. Now hold onto your seat for this revelation...

The windmills in PA get funding and tax breaks. They get the same breaks EVERY TIME they change hands.

They changed hands several times, and now some (Bedford area) are owned by FOREIGN COMPANIES who are getting US tax breaks.

I'm not positive, but they may also be getting carbon credits, which can be bought and sold, just like research & development credits. They have value on the market. A polluting company buys cc's to offset their pollution amounts. The selling company gets paid by them. Nothing is cleaned up, but pockets get lined with taxpayer monies.

NOW call your reps and ASK him/her to look into how many times the alternative energy company has changed hands and for the total amount of gov't/taxpayer "benefits" in grants and tax incentives/breaks and carbon credits (and where they have been used and by whom).

Just make sure you're not standing too closely when the Clintons and obama send in the bunker buster missile towards his office after they process his phone tap  LOL.

Oh- and don't forget to remind him that it is money out of HIS DISTRICT that is not being paid by their fraudulent (yet legal?) maneuvers. See how fast he can gather support to get the loophole patched.

Patching these kinds of fraudulent activities would sure go a long ways towards road and bridge work, instead of having the highest (and increasing) road fuel taxes in the nation.

BTW, how much did obama's buddies at Solandra soak up? How much did they repay? Yeah.... :x

Dang skippy! He's too danged wishy washy. I helped put him in, but only wish we had a recall vote so I could help oust him. I liked him better before he was governor, and I guess that's because I didn't know him well enough...well...he's changed his tune a lot since getting elected also. Can't stand the guy mainly because of what he said about backing the nominee, then flip flopped because of Trump's cat grabbing comment. Trump admitted what he said, apologized, then moved on to campaigning, and at least for now...like him or hate him...at least he's doing exactly what he said he would do, what he campaigned on. First president in nearly half a century that I can recall living up to ALL of his campaign promises, republican or democrat...all within a month of taking office. Again, love him or hate him, he's proving what he told the people he would do...he is IN FACT doing. Gotta love an honest man and give him credit...because Lord knows there's plenty of lying, thieving crooks on both sides of the isle By gholly! I do hope he drains both sides of the swamp.

The Dems didn't give me but 3 goof balls to choose from...one (speaking of Hillary of course) as bad or worse than the goof ball we got rid of (Obama) and Bernie running a close 2nd goof ball. We didn't need another Clinton or another Bush.

The sitting Repubs ...if they don't back Trump, then their arses need to go as well.

I get rubbed the wrong way some by Trump and his ranting and tweeting, sometimes I laugh, but I'll take a man that leads by example of keeping his word any day. Something neither side has given us for a long, long, time...and it's over due, but now the time has come. I may not like what a President does, but don't lie to people. Lying! That's what cost Hillary...and she...along with the overwhelming majority of Dems STILL don't get it...and I come from a family full of them. LOL! Dems better wake up because they aren't what they used to be and that goes for the elephants in the room too. The Dems are waaayyy out there now though. A far cry from the Dems of WW1&2 era's. It's already too late for them and now they are letting Pelosi and Schumer continue them down that same trail to a dry watering hole. The same path Republicans were on until the Don came along and said, "just how big a boy are ya'". Go Don, go!!!!

The press? Don't even get me started. Again, go Don, go!
