I hope I have a house left by morning. 30 mph avg. Southeast winds, and we have had a few 45 mph gusts that shook the house. I also heard a strange sound in the basement....it was the air getting sucked through the gap in my chimney cleanout door.

Sounds like the kind of wind seen & felt on my property many times ! If this 1972 trailer with 2x3 walls can stand up to it,your house should be able to handle it. :)

The BBQ is safe in my garage, but I had to go get my garbage can out of the field, and our Xmas wreath is about 1000' down the road.

Nothing feels like winter around here! We hit 50* degrees and are heading for 65* this afternoon before a cold front moves in for Friday. We're told to expect an inch or so of snow and/or ice from that on Saturday. After that little episode we are going right back to the mid 50*. As I said, it's been a weird winter. Lisa

We had the high winds, and I have the downed branches to contend with, and now its been raining so hard and for so long that the rivers are burping over and belated ark building is being contemplated. I literally have a 15-20 foot wide river running across my back yard. And suddenly it has gone from 58 degrees to 42 degrees here in only the past half an hour. 31 degrees forecast by midnight, and heading for 23 degrees by the wee morning hours tomorrow.
