Install almost done

PostBy: Tryingitout On: Tue Jan 10, 2017 4:39 pm

I am almost compete on the install of the used KAA2 I bought, I have a question. in the instructions that came with the boiler, it tells me to connect to the existing flow valve, I don't have a flow. (hot air furnace) I am not sure what the flow valve is or for. The new instructions show it in the installation picture, but does not refer to it now????

Are they referring to an automatic pressure reducing fill valve?

I installed a 3 speed Grundfos and it has a check valve in it. I was assuming it was a something g that detected the flow of water. Not sure why that would be nesserary.

The way that lift check is plumbed you should pull the plug and put a nipple and cap on it. Called a drip leg, it will allow mud to settle in the nipple and keep the valve checking properly.
