lumberjack,i also just finished first year with keystoker koker.it is a great unit although a biased statement,no experiance with other fine manufacturers. keystoker koker is a well built unit,domestic coil defenitly might as well can only help save more.i heat 1200 sq.ft.living space and 900 sq.basement.koker is power vented a little smell outside nothing to serious though.if you have neighbors close by they may notice as odor lingers around depending on wind.i have the koker attached to my existing fha oil fired furnace used 4 tons of coal @ $900.00 and 000 gal. of oil @ $4.50/ gal.POOR OIL MAN :lol: the heat is ducted to furnace plenum with 2 sections of 8" flex duct tucked in floor joist from top of stove to furnace.worked out very well,house is older const.still needs replacement windows temp.was 70* with plenty more if desired.good luck!!
