My motor coupling just tore. looks like part # 33766
I have a 2011 efm 520
I have no clue where to get this part, it looks like set screw on the reductor side backed out and tore the coupling.
Any help that you anyone can provide?
I don't have oil burner in, so I would need asap.
I can drive tonight or tomorrow to come get it.
Gonna start up the fireplaces so we don't freeze.
Thanks for any and all your help
ps. I PMed scrapper already, waiting to hear back.
Thanks
Rob

Thanks Rob!
Gonna have to call tomorrow, due to the time. Thank you so much
Fireplaces will keep us from freezing overnight. tomorrow doesnt look so bad,
but I think im gonna try to rig it!!!! duct tape. might get us thru the night , hahaha
I think the width of it might just be the right size.

I could give you a used one if you can't get a new one from Scrapper today. I don't know where you are in Lancaster Co. but I'm just across the river in York Co. I will be out this morning but should be back at about 1:00.
Send me a PM if you need help.

Thanks to Rob R, StokerDon and Scrapper to pinpointing the journey to find a coupling.
I got one, just have to see if it fits now!!! Apparently there are quite a few diff ones.

I like the old style much better than what they use now.

Got the part on and all good to go.!! HEAT was restored yesterday evening.
Yeah this I think is the older style with the rubber in the middle.
Gonna have to get at least one more for back up. I can assume with heat that it deteriorates over time.
I think it was Scrapper that said it is a very common replaced part.

I think the motor is a more common point of failure than the coupler. I have a spare motor, and a spare coupler. If your EFM is your main source of heat, I suggest you put a few parts on the shelf.

I've always been a big believer of spare parts on the shelf. I had a spare stoker motor and a spare combustion blower for the Harman but luckily never needed them. I'm sure I will stock some spare parts for the EFM. So motor, coupler, shear pins....what else?

I can't think of anything else that could suddenly go on a EFM? The newer gearboxes go bad but I think you will know about it before it stops working.

That is all I have for EFM parts. I have an oil boiler that works fine, so I am willing to wait for UPS if necessary.coalkirk wrote:So motor, coupler, shear pins....what else?
If the EFM was my only source of heat, I would probably keep a spare pot auger as well.

Yeah I got a motor a couple years back. And of course shear pins. I think second year in I went thru about a dozen or more shear pins.
Musta been a bad batch of the black rocks!!!.
Yeah I will pick up a few parts like another coupling or two and possibly any other that may be good to keep on hand.
Im thinking a gear paw maybe and also some of those cotter pins and spread pins or whatever they are called.
