I retro fitted our home with radiant floor heating in 2010 and it has been great. I have noticed that one of the valves, that adjust the flow, is leaking and I cannot seem to stop it. I bought some no name manifold on ebay. So I thought I would inquire here to see if you guys might have some ideas!!

How about a picture of what is actually leaking?

My guess is that the packing is loose. Take the nut off that holds the handle on, then tighten the nut on the valve body were the stem enters.

It is not the ball valve but the "valve" that controls to flow out to each loop of pex tubing.
Will try to post a pic a bit later.

So the balancing valve knob is leaking? Can you pull off the knob to see if there is a packing nut?

I will have to admit, every time I look at those manifolds, I cringe. Most of them look to be very poor quality, and not cheap $$ too.

When I did this in my house I kept the loops the same length. I made my own manifold out of copper and didn't put in balancing valves. No problems.

Hey McGiever,
The red parts that have a calibration on them. That is what is leaking. At the base of the plastic cyclinder

Looks like Viega. Find a whole sale supplier and see if they can get parts. Viega is a good brand.

I think the red parts are the flow meters. Kind of strange for one of those to leak?

I started rummaging around on the basement shelves. And I FOUND extra parts!!! I had the thought, in the back of my mind, that I had some parts. They have been on a shelf since 2010.
