Finished burning coal for this season.

PostBy: pintoplumber On: Sun Feb 19, 2017 8:39 am

Well, the fire went out yesterday and it's supposed to be warm for at least a week. I'm scheduled to get a new hip Feb 28th, so if it does turn cold I won't be able to restart it. Dennis

Like everyone else, I'm wishing the best for you Dennis.

For what it's worth;
These joint replacements had really gotten popular in the last 15 years. I've had many customers who have had hip & knee replacements. Probably 98% of them say they don't know why they waited so long.

They'd live day to day in misery. After the replacement, the pain is gone (other than healing / therapy). From what I'm told, the ones who push past the pain during therapy, have better end results.

.........and lastly, of the two joint replacements (Hip & Knee), they say the hip goes smoother.

Again, these are all quotes from many of my customers who have been through it. Myself personally; any operation sounds scary to me. Hope I never need one.

Last week they did a nasal swab. It came back that I have a staph infection. They said they can minimize it but not get rid of it completely. I heard of 3 horror stories of infected joints. That's my worry. I know it's going to hurt. I was in a motorcycle accident in 1972, and I've had 2 bone grafts. Dennis
