Right?
And, a lot of that "bling" is on there to help the stoves extract and distribute heat better naturally increasing and helping distribute the convection air currents around the stove further, than if it wasn't. There's a lot of design practicality behind a lot of that fancy-ness.

And, all that three-dimensional decretive work of the old stoves is not just for looks. It increases the heat radiating surface area quite a percentage over a flat surface stove of the same size. ;)

Sorry Fred,..... I seem to have missed where it says "Only one suggestion per member allowed."

1st - In your opening post, you stated that you could turn the burn up & get more out of the Chubby, but you didn't want to tend it 3-4 times/day. A blower will not make more heat,it will only move the hot air around more.
I understand how a lot of you guys feel about blowers. I tend to disagree. "The blower doesn't produce more heat". I agree with that statement, but it will sure move it around pretty well. I can totally regulate temps and I have saved a bunch of coal by using my blower. Its made a huge....huge difference in heating the space I am looking to heat. I also said that this could be a temporary fix to help finish out the season. It was a suggestion to help buy the guy sometime so he can make a good decision and not feel rushed into something.

MS, I do not have a Harman. Hitzer is next on my list, with a blower ;)
Yes, I get it. A blower does not produce heat. It does however, make the HITZER stove produce more heat. My 30-95 would set idle in the shop with blower off. When I walked in the cool shop, the ONLY thing I'd do to the stove was to turn the fan on low. The fan would pull enough heat off the stove to open the back intake flapper for primary air. The entire shop would be warm in 20 minutes. Pretty tough to beat that performance from such a little stove.
