Foot of snow is a disguise, you mean that the 1st foot of snow is a disguise for the 2nd & 3rd foot of snow ??coaledsweat wrote:So that foot of snow that is on the way is just a disguise?
The forecast here is starting to sound the same as the 1 in Jan. 2016 when we ended up with 32". Jan.2016, the forecast called for a few inches & then kept ramping upward, our current forecast has ramped up to 10 -18" from earlier 3-6".
Also appears that my tulips have frozen like they did last yr.

Yep,the extreme warm days we had earlier has them to the stage where the green leaf tips were getting some color to them. Pisses me off to not see tulips bloom 2 yrs in a row !! Didn't go look at my daffodils yet,i am scared to. I always count very much on seeing the snow drops, (saw them) a few crocus (have not seen them at all), daffodils which I have lots of & some were soon to flower,& then the tulips which I have quite a few of & saw very few last yr.,then on to the iris's which also did rather poorly last yr. Peonies & day lilies did ok last yr as did the oriental poppies. I have serious doubts that the lilac will flower this yr,they were already starting to turn green b4 this frigid cold blew in. I thought spring was coming last weekend but studied the weather forecast real carefully & decided to keep coal burning in my stove for another week & now it looks like another week yet.Rob R. wrote:Your tulips are up??

Reset all the clocks, .... but I'll have to reset my radio/alarm clock again.
Bought one with the automatic DLS reset feature so that I wouldn't have to worry about the alarm being off if I ever forgot to change it . Pretty clever idea !
Unfortunately, since I bought, ......they've moved the dates for when to change the clocks. So now I have to remember it twice as often.

I have one of those also, great radio and alarm but this one thing. I've often wondered if there was a way to reprogram itSunny Boy wrote:Reset all the clocks, .... but I'll have to reset my radio/alarm clock again.
