Zero degrees out all day with the wind blowing hard, stove has been cranked up pretty high. After living here six winters, Henry just jumped up on top of the stove.
He didn't stay long. I had just filled the hopper 15 minutes ago, so the lid was cooler than usual with all that fresh coal under it, 295 degrees. He seems to be walking fine, favoring one front paw a bit. We will have to watch for swelling over the next day or two.
